Tracking in Inclement Weather ActivEye’s patented software solutions track objects in inclement weather such as heavy snow or rain without generating false alarms. Accurately tracking objects in inclement weather is critical to the successful deployment of any smart video system. ActivEye’s patented solutions are designed to ignore rain, snow, and windy conditions assuring you of virtually non-existent false alarms. In addition to inclement weather, ActivEye also ignores changes in lighting conditions such as shadows caused by passing clouds, or day-to-night-to-day lighting changes. In this video, vehicles are accurately tracked with ActivEye during a heavy snowfall. Notice how each car has a colored ellipse around it. This ellipse is applied automatically by the software. ActivEye tracks each car, ignores the inclement weather and does not apply tracking ellipses to any of the falling snow. |
